If changing the settings doesnt work, i would setup vista on another computer, install setpoint, install your mouse, set the prefs, copy the user.xml to your 2008 圆4 machine, restart setpoint and see if the tab is visible.

The more likely scenario is that youre having a Windows 8.1 compatibility problem. If you paired a Logitech Keyboard do not expect a Mouse Tab to appear (unless its a combo Keyboard/Mouse) Same goes for a Mouse if that's all you paired. You should see your respective devices tab appear via SetPoint window.

also i noticed if you make the 2 numbers different, it just picks the lower number and changes the higher value to match. Ive tried the latest SetPoint but it will not load as it detects the dell bluetooth software and the only tab you get is a informational tab no mouse tab for. Other numbers could probably be substituted but setpoint will just replace them with the closest number on the list or reset them to default. Tech support from logitech addresses the problem by asking you to remove any other pointing software on the computer ie the Synaptics software for the touchpad. I’ve searched high and low for SetPoint for Mac but it doesn’t seem to exist because the trackpad / Magic Mouse functionalities are fantastic.
I want to be able to customise the buttons on it (2 on the side for copy and paste, and one below the scroller for open in new tab). checked setpoint and it was still set to middle mouse button. However, it’s not the best for gaming (neither is the laptop hahaha) and as such I’m using a Logitech M560 mouse. Im using a Logitech G5 mouse, and have been problem free for a while but from out of no were I can nolonger pan with it.
I love my trackpad on my MacBook 12 inch.
